Apr 27 - U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, of Pennsylvania,
after being a member of the Republican Party for 43 years, changed his voter registration
to Democratic Party. Specter said he felt that the Democrats had more useful answers
to today's problems than did his former fellow Republicans. With Specter changing
party alligence, that makes him the 59th Democrat out of the current 99 members
of the U.S. Senate.|

I found the best analysis of the 2010 Senate races @ Wikipedia.Org, @ Senate Guru.Com, and @ Daily Kos.Com. Of the 34 Senate seats up for grabs, 19 of them are occupied by Republicans. By November of 2009, we need to target 5 of those states where a little extra campaign contributions can go a long way to improve the chances of a Democratic challenger to win the U. S. Senate seat. |
