Why Andrew Homer should be the Event Organizer for

the World Peace Conference

In 1982, California was one of 10 states which had the Bilateral Nuclear Weapons Freeze Initiative on the State ballot. As an active member the the Citizen Party of California, Andrew Homer was also an active member of the San Diego Peace Coalition which organized the Rally for Peace at the Starlight Bowl, in Balboa Park, in San Diego, California. As a fundraiser and the editor of the 16-page tabloid which was distributed throughout San Diego prior the event, Andrew Homer was the main fundraiser for the San Diego Peace Coalition.

1982-83: As a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Church, Andrew Homer composed a Resolution for Unilateral Freeze, No-First-Use, and No-First-Strike of Nuclear Weapons. This resolution was voted #1 at the Unitarian annual southwestern regional (10.5 states) conference, # l at the Unitarian annual northwestern regional (10.5 states) conference, and #2 at the Unitarian 1983 national conference.

How the Unitarian Church Saved the World

1 - In the early 1980s, U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Great Britain's Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher wanted to install cruise missiles with nuclear warheads in Germany and Turkey.

2 - The Soviet Union feared being on the receiving end of a nuclear weapons first-strike.

3 - The Unitarian-Universalist Church of America has annual conventions which they vote on numerous resolutions. Many of these resolutions are about sending letters, making policy suggestions, to national legislators. In 1982, my "Resolution for Unilateral Freeze, No-First-Use and No-First-Strike of Nuclear Weapons" came in 2nd at the Cleveland convention. What was unique about my resolution was that not only was a copy sent to every U.S. Senator and U.S. Representative, but my resolution included that a copy be sent to the Kremlin and the Soviet Union Politiboro. The British Unitarians did likewise.

4 - In an article in The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, an American Admiral and an American General stated that the closest America ever came to being on the receiving end of a nuclear weapons first-strike from the Warsaw Pact, was when the Americans and Britains were planning to install nuclear cruise missiles in Germany and Turkey.

5 - The Conservative Party of Great Britain and the Republican Party in the United States want to take credit for the members of the Soviet Politiboro packing it up, in 1989, and closing down the Soviet Union after 75-years of a Communist government and after 1,000 years of a siege mentality from defending their borders from invaders.

Us Unitarians think the credit should go somewhere else. Fortunately, the Warsaw Pact believed the Unitarian-Universalist Church had a more valid pulse-taking of the sentiment of Americans and the British than did the Conservatives and the Republicans.

Your welcome.

In 1998, on a lark, Andrew Homer ran, on the Green Party ticket, for State Representative in District 26, Albuquerque. Since running against a very obnoxious and unpopular Democratic State Rep incumbent, Homer's candidacy was unofficially endorsed by Democratic office holders: Jim Baca, Rick Miera, & Shannon Robinson.

In 2006, Andrew Homer is looking for a privatized international approach to make the dictators of the world disappear.

Marian & Betty,

So, why wasn't the announcement put into New Mexico's largest newspaper. Though I live in Moriarty, I subscribe to the Albuquerque Journal and I probably have more relevant prior experience than 90% of the applicants you'll interview.

It appears thre's a lack of earnestness on the part of your office to get a qualified organizer. Using a retired employee for an excuse is no excuse, since you knew well in advance that she was leaving.

If you folk get smart enough to postpone the event 6-12 months, keep me in the loop.
